The reason for this was that Unilever, were doing a development project, talking about different Cultures. Working alongside me their were various other cultural experts, talking about Brazil, United Kingdom, and other parts of the world. The Unilever and their branding team, were split into 7 groups with 6 people in each group, and each group spent 10 minutes with each expert. I was asked lots and lots of questions, and I was delighted to say, that I knew the answers to them all.
As a result of my services and performance, I was e-mailed this very nice review:- " Thank you so much for being part of our event, it went very well, your knowledge surpassed all of our expectations, and was vital to the development of our project, Jonathan you are a true Indian Wedding cultural expert, we hope to see you soon " First it was the Muslim Nikah on 28 September 2014 at Lakeview Marquee which was superb and what an electric atmosphere !! Then it was the Muslim Walima on 05 October 2014 at Fennes, a beautiful country house, marquee and grounds, set deep in the Essex Countryside. The occasions belonged to the fantastic couple... Faisal and Zainab... Guests arrived very promptly in order to enjoy the fantastic drinks and canapes reception and then lunch, courtesy of the very talented Sapna Caterers.... Something very important to me, is working alongside and very closely with top wedding and events professionals, I was very fortunate on the day, to work with a fantastic team, as well as Sapna Caterers, also present were, X- Quisite Who provided the superb photo booth and back drop photos, Digimas - Asim Mir and his team provided the clients with superb photography and videography , Kash Events - Provided The DJ and Entertainment brilliantly, and who also ensured that their would be a superb party , The stage was provided by Sohail and his team at 1SW, and of course the ultra Talented Bollywood Pianist - Bobby.... Following the drinks and canapes reception, the doors opened, and guests were led to their tables, by both myself and members of the family, the room looked very nice and elegant. Their are so many options at Fennes, the sky is the limit to what you wish to achieve, in terms of catering, decorations, AV and more. Following guest being seated, formalities took place, and this is where, my card ceremony was revealed to all. The Clients brought for me, two blank wedding cards, I passed one to the bride and one to the groom, to write about there memories of the day, a year later on their first anniversary, their cards would be given back to them, so they could reveal what they said about each other..... Following dinner and other formalities, stage photos would commence, as well as the party, which I was part of...Everything went very well... and yes the party was superb....... As a result of my very hard work, and the service that I provided to the clients on both the Nikah and Walima, I was delighted to be given a very nice video review from the sisters of the groom, they also commented on the Bollywood Pianist, in which I recommended, and booked for them, please click on below, in order to view... What a great day, had by all.. and these were events, the bride and groom, would long remember for a life time.
I was delighted to have been asked by Ritesh Patel who is the proprietor of Shiv Events, to have been Toastmaster and Master of Ceremonies, at his sisters wedding, which was to be held at The Copthorne Effingham in East Grinstead in Sussex near Gatwick Airport. I got very excited when I was asked, as I knew Ritesh and The Shiv team, would go to extraordinary lengths, in order to ensure, that the bride and groom, would have a day to remember, and they certainly did that...Apexa and Trusit were one of the most amazing couples, I had ever had the pleasure of officiating for. I arrived at the venue, very early in the morning, in order to conduct all of my checks, and to meet the fantastic Event Manager who was Rupesh Patel . He performed magnificently on the day. One of the checks I made, was to check everything was in progress, and the stage was being set, for the Civil Ceremony. Wed in Style took charge of the decor and draping, and in thier very creative style, they built the most amazing stage for the civil ceremony, and they worked closely with Shiv Events, in order to ensure, the draping looked the part, and would blend well with the rest of the room, and would create the write atmosphere. Guests arrived very early, and were all greeted by myself, and they enjoyed a very nice breakfast, courtesy of the fantastic Sapna Caterers, who always ensure, only excellence.I always receive fantastic feedback from clients and guests, about the food and service of Sapna, and this event was no exception. Within this time also, one of my roles, was to attach around 120 buttonholes, to members of the brides and grooms family. Following breakfast, guests were invited to be seated to the civil ceremony, the atmosphere was set for a wonderful Civil Ceremony, the registrar also commented and said ' This was the most amazing set up she had ever seen '. The Civil took around 25 minutes, this incorporated a welcome speech by myself, brides entrance, signings, and Bride and groom departing at the end. The registrar was kind enough to allow me to announce the bride and groom as a married couple at the end of the ceremony. Not only the proceedings but the whole event was captured by Guy and his very talented team of photographers and Videographers of Surya Wedding Films, this team also included Martin Clark of ShotnStrung, with whom I have worked alongside several times, and is always a pleasure, Surya even managed to do the most amazing on site Edit, so everyone could view highlights of the day in the evening reception. The very talented Andy Lockwood of Jibz TV was also hired to provide the Professional Crane, which captured everything from above brilliantly. The whole set up prior to the event starting, was captured by the amazing Farooq Hussain of Film 66, who I have also had the pleasure of working alongside several times. Following the Civil Ceremony, family and other group shots took place, and I was on hand to coordinate the photos session, in order to ensure, that the bride and groom, would have all the photos taken, that they required, during the photo sessions, guests were invited into the Bentley Suite for lunch, were a rather delicious lunch was served, again courtesy of Sapna, who also catered for the evening reception beautifully. Following lunch it was time for everyone to relax, and the bride and groom were then taken for their personal photo shoot, then it was time for the bride and groom to relax, and to get changed for the evening reception. The stage was set for the evening reception, Ritesh and the Shiv Events team ensured, that not even the smallest of details was missed out..Top Asian Wedding industry names were hired to ensure the evening, would certainly be one to remember, and yes it certainly was. These top names included, Cupcake Avenue who provided the fabulous and glittering wedding cake, Karizma London who were the Asian Wedding DJS, Pro Systems Services provided the fantastic Confetti Pyrotechnics, Mood Lighting and Spotlighting, Trav Panesar who I only know as Saxophonist extraordinaire put on on amazing show, it is always fun to have a Photobooth and Photoboothstar provided this, Akbar Lakhani and his team from Cilantro Catering provided the Bar Staff, Royal Bars provided the amazing mobile bar which was very nicely LED lit, and many others. The night was packed with speeches, live dancers, lots and lots of partying, including the drinking of one or two Jager Bombs, which saw me join in, and lots more. Overall a wonderful and memorable event for all and everyone.. Well done Shiv Events, keep up the great work. The below picture shows me joining in, I feel interaction with guests is always important, as it shows that I was very much part of the bride and grooms special day.. I was delighted to be appointed by Harkamal and Sukhvider to be both their wedding consultant and toastmaster on the 06 April 2014, for their big day. I worked very closely with the couple, prior to their big day, in order to ensure, everything would be executed according to their wishes. I worked with them in order to prepare the perfect schedule, I went through all nuts and bolts to ensure nothing was missed, and I coordinated with all fellow wedding professionals... On the day, I took complete control, starting at the Guru Gobind Gurdwara/ College in Chigwell in Essex, and then making my way to the totally transformed Lakeview Marquee on Fairlop Waters Complex in Barkingside in Essex, which looked amazing... The day started nice and earlier, where I arrived at 08.00 in the morning at the Gurdwara/ College in order to ensure everything was all in order and in place, for the proceedings. The bride arrived arrived first, and I quickly got her settled into her room... then guests started to arrive.. ans shortly afterwards the Baarat, as the weather was not so good, I conducted the Milnis inside...and then I invited the grooms family and then followed by the brides into breakfast, following this I invited everyone into the temple to bow before the Guru, and then be seated appropriatly. The groom made an entrance with his family, and shortly afterwards it was the brides turn, and the traditional Anand Karaj was under way. The Civil Ceremony and Shagun followed, and then I made several announcements, in order to ensure, after giving shagun, everyone would make there way to the venue... On arrival at Lakeview Marquee, I could not believe how fantastic and well drapped the marquee looked, they had recently under gone a very large transformation, and they had the most amazing starlight cloth, drapped around the marquee. Everything went very well from start to finish. It is always about the team of people, that you work alongside, that makes the event even more memorable for the clients. Preeti Catering provided the amazing catering in their very friendly and superb style as usual, BM Visuals in their understated and great style provided the Videography, Jugnu Bhangra led the live entertainment with a wonderful dance performance, Anne Heslop provided the photography in her unique style, and not forgetting Sub- Fx who put on a great party for the bride and groom and their guests... As a result of my hard work, I was delighted to receive this very nice video review below, from the bride and groom, please click click on the Video, to listen to the kind words, they had said....... I am inviting all the suppliers present that were present on the day, and others, to comment, to leave their thoughts...
